Western Sydney coach Tony Popovic has put on a brave face after his disgruntled squad underwent their first training session for the FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco.
The unhappy Wanderers players arrived in Rabat on Monday still seething over a pay dispute that threatens their quarter-final clash with Mexico's Cruz Azul on Saturday.
They are furious at the refusal of the club's owner Paul Lederer to negotiate with them and the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) over increasing their appearance money at the lucrative eight-team competition from 10 per cent to 25 per cent.
Football Federation Australia and the PFA are still trying to sort out the situation but as it currently stands the players will take home only $2,500 after tax if they lose to the CONCACAF champions.
