TULSA, Okla. —

Police say people living in a home near east 56th Street North and Peoria said they woke up to a dozen gun shots.

No one was hurt in this shooting, but the neighbors in the area are uneasy since police don't know who is responsible.

“It was like 3 am and I heard gunshots going off,” said Mary Tiger, a neighbor.

According to Tulsa police about 12 shots were aimed at a house on East 51st Place North.

"What's going through your head? Someone is getting shot,” said Wanda McKinney, another neighbor.

Police told FOX23 four of the bullets actually made it inside the house where a mother and her son were sound sleep.

While one bullet came close to the mother's bed, both people were okay. Neighbors are surprised and grateful no one was hurt.

“It's a blessing that that house was covered, that no one got hurt,” said McKinney.

“That's good because that could have hit somebody,” said Tiger.

Police said they don't know who is responsible and believe the attack was random, which doesn't sit well with the neighbors.

“You just got to watch out. Look around and watch out,” said Tiger.
