FOX23 has learned firefighters think someone intentionally set a north Tulsa family's house on fire.
It happened near Mohawk Blvd. and North Utica Ave.
Fire investigators said the homeowners have a security alarm, and the alarm company called them to say that someone had broken in.
When the homeowner's relative arrived just a few minutes later, the home was on fire.
That night, firefighters said there were several fires set in different places in the home.
Skyla Parker was visiting a friend across the street when the fire broke out. She said the fire grew in a matter of seconds.
Investigators said the homeowners’ alarm company called to tell them that someone had broken into the home and the security alarm was going off. A family member arrived shortly afterward and saw the flames.
Firefighters are asking the public to contact them at 918-596-2776 with any information so that they can figure out who started the fire.
