A major new technology is coming to Bixby.
Bixby city leaders are remaining tight lipped as to what exactly the major announcement will be, however they do say that Bixby will be the first city in Oklahoma to offer this type of technology.
Chamber officials tell FOX23 the announcement will impact both new and established area businesses and consumers.
Mayor of Bixby John Easton and other city officials are gathering Wednesday at the Spirit Bank Event Center at Noon.
Back in July, Bixby said it was going through growing pains and the city announced a new development to turn 90 empty acres into a booming community.
Bixby leaders say that move will bring more revenue sales tax.
